The news is full of stories about genealogy being use to solve crimes and identify crime victims.
Gabriella Vargas, a California-based genealogist and co-founder of DNA-ID, discusses the work of the DNA Doe Project and DNA-ID (her investigative genetic genealogy company) on cases ranging from finding the names of accident victims who weren't carrying ID and had been unidentified for decades, to the most recently identified victims of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
