Meet a variety of charming bumble bees like the endangered Rusty-patched bumble bee. Learn to make your yard a more hospitable and welcoming place for pollinators. (In person/online)
The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
Brandie Dunn introduces you to a variety of charming bumble bee characters which includes the once common, but now endangered Rusty-patched bumble bee, who just might still be spotted in your very own backyard should you choose to invite them. She will touch upon action steps people can take to transition your yard into a more hospitable and welcoming place for pollinators, and the inherent joy that it brings to do so.
Speaker:
Brandie Dunn is with the Midwest Native Bee Alliance.
