The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
Illinois is home to the Sandhill Crane and the endangered Whooping Crane. The history, habitats and threats these cranes face will be understood and also learn how the crane conservation partners are helping out these magnificent birds.
